Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently associated with CNBC. She serves as the co-anchor on the channel's programs "Squawk on the Street" (Closing Bell) and 'Squawk In the Street' (CNBC). She's an Ohio native, and was not keen on markets or currencies while in college. While attending New York University she interned with ForexTV.com. It was here that she received her first exposure to business news. The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University gave her a master's of broadcast journalism. Following that, she completed an eight-month internship at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. Following her return to US and began to work at Bloomberg's office in New York. She became a television anchor later. CNBC brought her on in December 2013 to be an anchor. After being a co-anchor for "Worldwide Exchange," and Power Lunch', she was appointed by CNBC in December 2013. Then, she was offered the job in the year following Closing Bell in the year 2018. Eisen anchors 'Squawk On The Street' since 2014. Her main area of focus since her arrival at CNBC has been global news for consumers.
