Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. Her debut on screen was Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian proficiently. Her mother was a violinist and her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's top drama schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was selected as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two more awards. The Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was a different film where she starred. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) the actress was Irma she was an German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
